The Suffering Servant Source Files

NCBC asked me to create a graphic for their upcoming easter series called “The Suffering Servant”. It didn’t ring a bell with me about what the suffering servant was, so I googled it (yes googled is a verb). As soon as I clicked the search button and saw the first result I thought, “Andrew, you’re stupid”.  The Suffering Servant is Jesus.  As soon as I came to this realization I thought of the suffering servant during easter.  The word suffering stuck out to me, so I wanted to illustrate that.  So I used a texture I have and set up the graphic on black.  I really like the way it sits on black because it really pulls your eyes in toward the suffering part and gives you a quick visual of suffering.  Let me know what you think.  I’m putting the source files out here for download.  Feel free to use them for easter, or change the words to fit for you.

Andrew, I love your work. NCBC is very blessed to have you on the team. I hope we will have a chance to team up on projects for children’s ministry. I spent all afternoon on worshiphousekids.com and thought, “Sure I could buy this but I bet Andrew could make it for me!” Let’s meet soon to discuss the Camp Rules project–and I love the idea of creating a recurring character for Family Night. Have a great week! ~Rett
