Canon 7d

I got a Canon 7d this evening to use at work and am really excited to use it.  The good news is there are a lot of graduation parties that must be attended this weekend, so there are ample opportunities to try it out. I’m planning on using the video option on it a lot. I’ve seen some amazing footage that it’s shot and am excited to try it out for myself. I’ll be posting photos and video clips that I shoot with the camera this weekend in a couple of days.

I’m also going to work on coming up with a video project to produce using this camera to try it in a real project.

Anyone got any ideas?

East to West

New Covenant Bible Church asked me to create a graphic for their choir cantata that’s on April 18th. This was great because the testimony video I’ve been working on is for the same day. So I created the graphic for them, and then yesterday made an After Effects Clip of the logo coming on to put at the end of the testimony video that I’m trying to get finished up today. I’ve decided to let you see the logo animation and put it out there to download along with the photoshop files of the logo.  Feel free to use it as you wish, or change the text and use it another way.  Would love to hear how you’re using them, so let me know. Enjoy!

The Suffering Servant Source Files

NCBC asked me to create a graphic for their upcoming easter series called “The Suffering Servant”. It didn’t ring a bell with me about what the suffering servant was, so I googled it (yes googled is a verb). As soon as I clicked the search button and saw the first result I thought, “Andrew, you’re stupid”.  The Suffering Servant is Jesus.  As soon as I came to this realization I thought of the suffering servant during easter.  The word suffering stuck out to me, so I wanted to illustrate that.  So I used a texture I have and set up the graphic on black.  I really like the way it sits on black because it really pulls your eyes in toward the suffering part and gives you a quick visual of suffering.  Let me know what you think.  I’m putting the source files out here for download.  Feel free to use them for easter, or change the words to fit for you.

Focal Point Source Files

I worked on this with another person for a series New Covenant Bible Church did called Focal Point.  You can watch the Focal Point sermons on the Video Podcast here.  Go ahead and download the PSD files and use them any way you can.

If you download them please leave a comment and let me know how you’re going to use them so that others can get ideas about how they might use them.  Enjoy!
